In my opinion cancer is one of the most devastating diseases that one can get.
I pray that not me but none of my family or friends will ever get this horrible disease.
I have been convinced that our food intake is one of the leading causes to getting cancer. Now I do not know if this is proven or not, but I really do think that you get out what you put in.
If we eat highly process foods every day, how can the body adjust from what we should be eating (whole foods) to products with a mile long ingredients list.
And if that was not enough, our foods are being sprayed for maximum protection against the environment. The animals are given hormones to grow faster and bigger.
I get it that we must feed people, and not all of us have a farm to grow our own crops and animals on them.
But what we can do is make better choices. Especially in the food department. I get that we are all going to die someday, but I would like to improve my chances the best I can. We should do that in all areas of our lives.
I would give almost anything to speak to my deceased father. If only I had the knowledge back them maybe he would still be here with me. He died of heart and lung related problems not cancer, but his failing kidneys lead to dialysis, which lead to complications and ultimate his passing.
But if you read my other article on how you can potential save a family members life by just changing their food intake in the article.
But back to this topic on cancer. I have done some research and I will share it with you, the ones whom are dealing with cancer in the family or yourself. I truly hope that it can save you or a loved one.
Just to be clear I am not promising a cure, but looking at the data I do think that it does help and hopefully maybe even will lead to a cure or remission.
How does cancer grow?
Cancer develops when the body’s normal control mechanism stops working.
When a cell mutates but can not repair itself, then starts to grow and multiply too much. Cancer is an uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells in the body.
Old cells grow out of control, forming new abnormal cells and ultimately form a mass of tissue called a tumor.
For cancer to spread to the other parts of the body, they have to go through many changes. They have to able to break away from the original tumor ad get into the bloodstream or lymph system, which can carry them to another part of the body.

Why is this important? To understand how to fight cancer one should know how it grows. Which, bring me to my next awesome topic.
Autophagy, the renewing of your body cells.
What does autophagy mean? It means “self eating”.
This is a process were our body uses it owns components to release energy and to build new functional cells.
In other words when you are in a state of autophagy, your body eats the old unhealthy cells that can form in to cancer cells and makes new, strong and healthy cells.
As we get older our body’s ability to grow more and more new cells diminishes with time, that is why we get old and wrinkly. Autophagy does not make you keep the same cell count as when you were young, but make it does make the new cells that are produced stronger that it would normally be.
So for you who want to keep looking younger, autophagy is a great way to help stop those wrinkles and the extra mascara.
So, if you take a look at what I have explained on how cancer forms within the body, autophagy should help prevent cancer cells from growing right?
How can we get into the state of autophagy?
This can be done with prolonged fasting. Not eating for about 12 to 16 hours and longer, will put your body in a state of autophagy. The longer you fast, the longer your body will be in autophagy.
According to a study, if you fast for 24 hours the ability to renew old and weak cells are 300% greater than in less time fasting. After an additional 24 hours this will be another 30% added. So if you fast for 48 hours, your body renewing ability increases with 330%.
Autophagy is not only achieved through prolonged fasting but also eating certain foods that boost the effect of autophagy:
- Green tea
- Ginger (great for controlling lung cancer growth)
- Turmeric ( also great for certain cancers)
- Reishi mushroom

Ketones and cancer.
What does a keto diet do with cancer?
According to my research it can make cancer cells weak so that the treatment is way more effective and it has even shown to cure certain cancer types altogether.
But how does the keto diet do this?
The answer is simply that cancer cells can not feed on ketones.
Cancer gets it food through glucose and carbohydrates (sugar). Cancer unlike a traditional cell can not utilize fat as energy.
The cancer cells is 10X more likely to utilize glucose than a normal cell. So when the cancer cell gets no more food and becomes weak, this can be the ultimate moment for the treatment to be more effective.
Eat less often, you can even try OMAD or TMAD.
When ever we eat, our body’s have to take care for that food to be processed. The more we eat the less chance it gets to recover from this process.
I once read an article on this and it explained it this way: When a restaurant is open, the workers only have time to briefly sweep and clean of the tables. That can not do a complete cleaning as more and more customers will come in to eat. After the restaurant has closed and there are no more customers the workers can then do a thorough cleaning.
So the more we eat, the less time the body has to recuperate itself.
Studies has shown that the average American eats and snacks almost 14 times a day. You maybe think well I only eat 3 times a day. Just take a look at whenever you eat a snack here and there between meals.
If you are on the keto diet you will see how easy it is to eat one meal a day OMAD or two meals a day TMAD.
As you get deeper into ketosis, your cravings will go away making tit way easier to eat less times a day.
Keto, fasting and autophagy combined can be a force to destroy your cancer.
Keto limits the cancer food, eating less often improves the body’s ability to recover and autophagy renews cells to be stronger.
So it must be a no-brainer to start on this regiment, especially if you do have cancer.
I must also encourage people who do not have cancer but it does run in the family to entertain the idea on going on a keto diet for possible prevention.
Why only want to change after it is too late. Most people only go on a diet because their doctor said so or the got their cholesterol results back and they were surprised (yeah right!). The scale and mirror should have tipped you off!
You started with being a bit round around the waist, went from chubby too obese to becoming a diabetic, having a mild hearth attack and ultimately drinking more pills in a day then in all of your party days as a teenager (I hope not).
Leaving your sugary, carbohydrates dreamy foods is not easy, trust me I know, but if it could help you become healthier and maybe even live longer, isn’t that enough a reason to go keto?
This article is really an oversimplification cation of the complexity of the treatment of cancer patients.
But I just want you to look at the obvious for a moment.
Do you really think that the big companies want to cure cancer? Is it in their best interest to lose billions of dollars if they got a cure?
It is like you want your job to become automated so that you can lose your job.
Invest in yourself. There was a saying that I believed in a couple years ago: “knowledge is power”.
I believe it should be: ” act on your knowledge is power”.
Knowledge is all around us at our finger tips. You can become a doctor, computer programmer or even a pilot just by searching the internet. It is what we do with that knowledge that defines us and shapes our future.
But many people have problems on deciding how to start and when to start.
If you need a push, look for a partner that can join you. This way you are more likely to stay motivated.
